Community Involvement

The Portsmouth area is full of wonderful people, many of whom have shown their support for HLPP. This is achieved in a variety of ways, including:

Arranging a Family Fun Day; Holding regular raffles; Signing up as a fan on Facebook; Becoming a member of HLPP; Attending monthly meetings, etc.

Local organisations are also very supportive. We’ve already got the Community Payback teams working for us, they’re clearing piles of rubbish, sweeping up piles of leaves, scrubbing & cleaning the changing rooms and painting them. Howard & Matapan Road Residents Association were kind enough to give us our first major donation both financially & by allowing us use of their community centre for some of our first few meetings. We’ve had local artists exhibiting their work at the Lido over the Heritage weekend, others have donated artefacts to raise funds. Hilsea Hardware are amongst a group of local businesses who have been providing us with various items of equipment and professional advice.

Thanks to each and every one of you!

If you would like to support HLPP there a variety of ways that this can be achieved. For example, you may:

be part of a group who would like to do some fundraising

have a couple of hours a week when you would like to get involved in the improvement of the site

have skills or experience that we need to assist us in achieving our goal of running a successful cultural and sporting venue

Together the community can make it happen.
